When we think of presidential legacy the names that often come to mind are John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. Both in spite of differences of party and policy, at the end of the day you could identify them as statesmen who had candor and engaged their constituents with courage and condfidence. I did not see that in watching the 5th DNC 2020 debate.
There was a little more civility however it was very clear that their focus was on proving who had the most disdain for President Trump with their facade of united front focused on impeachment. It is time quite honestly for both the DNC and RNC to groom candidates for 2020 and beyond.
Perhaps the bigger problem for the DNC is that they clearly have an identity crisis. Yes there is an indeed an elephant in their living and it is not President Trump. It is called socialism.
